Park Activities

Lake George Regional Park offers a wide array of activities and amenities to visitors throughout the year. The lake and its surrounding 320 acres of land, two sand beaches, playing fields and extensive hiking and walking trails, are great for exploring the Maine outdoors.

Welcome to Lake George Regional Park

At Lake George Regional Park we strive to develop, provide, and maintain affordable public access to the services and facilities of Lake George Regional Park.

Lake George is a day-use lakeside park located between the towns of Skowhegan and Canaan Maine. Established in 1992, visitors come year round to enjoy our lake, trails and picnic areas. Throughout the year community members and visitors can take part in many activities at the park: swimming, fishing, boating, cross-country skiing, picnicking, horseback riding and ice-fishing. Join us for one of our annual events; the Fishing Derby held each February, the Lake George Fiddle Festival in the spring and the Maine Mountain Bike Challenge held each fall.
